Carothers, a 3-star quarterback from Kentucky, has a 36.5 percent chance of committing to the Cardinals, according to On3 Sports. This puts Louisville slightly ahead of the North Carolina Tar Heels, who are also vying for his commitment with a 32.0 percent chance. Carothers previously visited UNC before his trip to Louisville on May 29, making the competition fierce. Additionally, the University of South Florida is in the mix, as Carothers is scheduled to visit them soon. With 27 recruits visiting Louisville over the past two weekends, the Cardinals are optimistic about securing more commitments in the near future.
